NEW YORK GOLF TIPS

Helpful Hints For All New York City Golfers

WEARING TWO GLOVES

GO BACK

Many new players, especially women, feel the best way to protect their hands from blisters is to play wearing two golf gloves.  Some players think blisters go with the territory; are signs of how hard they are working to improve.  Blisters and deep calluses are injuries caused by a tight or faulty grip, not over work.

Everyday golf gloves are sold one to a package.  Foul weather gloves are sold as pairs.  Single gloves are worn on the top hand ( the left hand for right handed golfers) Gloves are meant to provide better contact with the club, not for protection.

Golfers should avoid wearing a second glove to mask grip flaws.  Golfers can best avoid damage to their hands by learning how to hold and swing the club properly.
